EV Charger Installation FAQ

Most home EV charger installations take between 2–4 hours depending on your switchboard location and cabling distance. If a switchboard upgrade is required, allow an extra 2–3 hours or a separate appointment. We'll give you an accurate estimate during your free quote.
Not always. We assess your existing switchboard as part of every EV charger quote at no extra charge. Many homes have sufficient capacity. However, older homes with ceramic fuses or undersized boards typically need an upgrade first — which we can handle in the same visit.
We install all major brands including Tesla Wall Connector, Wallbox Pulsar Plus, myenergi Zappi, JuiceBox, Evnex E2, TPLINK Tapo, and more. If you already have a charger you want installed, we can work with that too. Not sure? We'll recommend the best option for your setup.
Installation costs vary based on your switchboard setup, cabling distance, and charger type. Most standard installations (charger supplied by customer) range from $350–$800 for labour and materials. Yes — every installation comes with a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW) issued by our licensed electrician and reported to NSW Fair Trading. This is a legal requirement in NSW and is often required for home insurance purposes.
